PSBI Bangun Daya 3 Over Kapasitas PMKS

Cengkareng Social Institution Over Capacity

Bina Insan Bangun Daya 3 Social Institution in Cengkareng Sub-District, West Jakarta, is over capacity. Its capacity is only for 200 people, but now it is crowded by 225 people having social welfare issues (PMKS) who were netted in the raid held by Jakarta Satpol PP.

We are over capacity. There are 225 PMKS, while the institution’s capacity is only for 200 people

“We are over capacity. There are 225 PMKS, while the institution’s capacity is only for 200 people,” stated Head of Bina Insan Bangun Daya 3 Social Institution, Ahmad Dumyani, Wednesday (4/16).

According to Dumyani, those PMKS consist of street kids (anjal), homeless and beggars (gepeng), displaced old people, and 3 in 1 jockeys. But, although the place is over capacity, his party will keep give coaching for a month to those PMKS.

“We will give coaching to them (PMKS). One of the materials is law coaching. Hopefully, they would understand about the city’s regulations,” he uttered.

Besides over capacity, another problem faced by Bina Insan Bangun Daya 3 Social Institution is the 80 inhabitants categorized as people with psychiatric issues (ODMK) who often jumped the fence of surrounding residents. This is making the locals afraid.

“Recently there was an ODMK who got out of the institution by jumping off the fence until the residents afraid,” disclosed Dumyani.

Because of that, Dumyani hopes the relocation plan of five social institutions in Jakarta could be realized soon by Jakarta Social Department.

“Hopefully the relocation plan of five social institutions in Jakarta to Banten Province could be realized soon this year,” he expressed.
